A hundred kilometers from Marrakech, Jbel Irhoud is an archaeological site where many human fossils have been exhumed. In 2007, the discovery of the skull of a homo-sapiens aged at least 160,000 years created the buzz in the international archaeological field, which nicknamed this fossil "the Father of humanity".
This fossil could be "the skull specimen of the oldest representative of the species Homo sapiens in the world", even though these impressive fossils are not exposed to Jbel Irhoud, the site remains a unique attraction for fans of prehistory.
