Bou Inania Madrasa

A few steps from Talaa Kebira Bab Bou Jeloud, Medersa Bou Inania is the most beautiful theological colleges of Fez, it was built by Sultan Merenid Bou Inan between 1351 and 1357, and was impressively restored with elaborate zellij and carved plaster, handsome cedar mashrabiyyas (lattice screens) and massive brass entry doors.

While most medersas have just a simple prayer hall, Bou Inania is unusual in that it houses a complete mosque.
