A gentle drive through the souss plain, after a quick stop on the way to spot the famous Argan tree climbing goats, will bring us to the ancient walled city of Taroudant (mini Marrakesh).
A very friendly Berber village overlooked by the high atlas mountains, Taroudant, 80km from agadir, explores the 16th century capital of Saadian Empire.
Taroudannt (or Taroudant, pronounced "Taroudannte") is located in the Souss Valley, surrounded by two mountain ranges, the High Atlas to the north and east, the Anti-Atlas to the south, in the west, the plain opens on the Atlantic.
This fertile valley is crossed by the Oued Souss which runs along the city, the province of Taroudannt has, in its territory, the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal, in Arabic Jebel Toubkal.
